A principal considers a conundrum in education today: That even as more schools are expected to try to put children with all different abilities into an “integrated” classroom, and teachers are expected to understand that all children learn in different ways, schools still expect all children to reach the same academic goals in the same time frame.

The ‘Super Heroes’ Are Already Here

A principal in the Bronx says there are superheroes in many public schools, giving their all to help children from struggling homes gain a love of learning, all leading, perhaps, to a different life script.
