Give Lehman High a Chance, a Student Says

On the eve of a Panel for Educational Policy vote Thursday to presumably close 26 struggling schools, a student at Herbert H. Lehman High School in the Bronx argues that doing so would undermine the improvements being made under a new principal, make it difficult to maintain programs and courses in the reconstituted school, and affect seniors who won’t be able to obtain recommendations from teachers with whom they have bonded.
