City Reports More Suspensions, but Serious Crimes Declined
New figures on crime and suspensions in the city's schools show suspensions are up while serious episodes have declined. They also show that most suspensions, 87 percent, were given to black and Hispanic students. A third of all suspensions were given to special education students. Read More »
