Principals' Rebellion Against Evaluations Grows
The suburbs are the breeding ground for a growing rebellion by New York principals against the new system of evaluating teachers. The principals do not object only to the use of student test results as a significant portion of teacher evaluations, the fulfillment of a pledge the state made to acquire $700 million in federal Race to the Top grants.
